The warranty period vs. ongoing maintenance
These are two different things and should not be confused. The warranty period is a defined window after launch where defects against the agreed scope are fixed at no extra cost — it is not a general helpdesk. Ongoing maintenance is a separate, usually paid, arrangement for everything after that: small changes, monitoring, updates, and support.
What should be in writing before you sign
What counts as a bug versus a change request, and how each is handled. A bug is something that does not work as scoped; a change request is something new, and it should be quoted, not silently absorbed or silently ignored.
Response time for a reported issue, and what happens outside business hours if the system is business-critical.
What backups exist, how often, and who is responsible for restoring from one if something goes wrong.
Who owns the hosting, domain, and any third-party accounts — so maintenance never becomes leverage to keep a client from leaving.
Our approach
Every project we deliver gets a written warranty period and an optional maintenance arrangement with exactly this covered on paper, not implied.
